How to Pray When You Have No Words
By God’s Redeeming Temple
There are seasons when prayer comes easily and seasons when you sit down to talk to God and nothing comes. If you are in the second kind right now, you have not been abandoned and you are not failing.
“The Spirit helps us in our weakness… the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (Romans 8:26). When you have no words, God has not run out of them. Your sigh is heard. Your silence is held.
So come anyway. Sit in His presence with empty hands. Let that be the prayer today — and trust the Spirit to carry the rest.
