When Quiet Feels Empty: Learning to Be Still
By Pastor Yorie Gipson
“Be still, and know that I am God.” For many of us, the stillness is the hardest part. We sit down to pray and the silence feels less like peace and more like an empty room. If that is you, you are not doing it wrong.
Stillness is not emptiness; it is making room. When you stop striving long enough to listen, God replaces your opinions with His truth, reminds you of His promises, and comforts you in the places that still ache.
Start small. One breath, one verse, one honest sentence to the Lord. You are not behind — you are exactly where He can meet you.
